100% extra fine merino and angora/merino lace and cobweb weights

These yarns are 3/44NM and 2/30NM lace weights, and 2/48NM cobweb weight, extra fine merino yarn produced by Zegna Baruffa of Italy. It sold as Cashwool because it has been spun so as to be exceptionally full and soft for a merino yarn, but it is pure merino, no cashmere.. The yarns ARE very soft though, and the colors are truly vivid..

note the 3/44NM merino yarns are what was left after we had most of the lace weight twisted up to the dk which has proved so popular, so even a single cone order may actually be split onto 2 or 3 cones, if that is a problem please tell us when you order...

the angora wool laceweights are spun by Lanecardate of Italy, either 2/28 or 1/14NM and with 25% angora, 75% fine super 100's merino, and were marketed under the lamora brand

As 3/44NM yarns these give 2,400 yards per cone (2450 for 2/30s), 7,300 yards per lb. and should give around 32-36 stitches on a 4 inch swatch, using US 2-5, 2.5-3.75 mm needles. The 2/48NM yarns give 3,900 yards per cone, 12,000 yards per lb. Please add your experiences with these yarns (especially with pictures!) below. The angora/wool lace weight yarns, should give about 2,300 yards per cone, 7,000 ypp... as singles yarns the 1/14s will give some bias in some knitting situations...

We will happily wind multiple plies of these yarns onto cone for no extra charge...

we will also TWIST the singles angora/wool for free (we charge for twisting already balanced yarns) into thicker yarns to give a fairly balanced final result..
