Loft yarns are some of our most amazing :-) This one is a single strand soft spun by Todd & Duncan, made deliberately with slubs, with a filament of lurex twisted in. This gives a fascinating texture, ideal for really special garments, gorgeously soft but with extra sparkle (and strength) from the lurex..
As 1/3 NM yarns these are slightly thicker than what we call a dk weight yarn... giving 500 yards per cone and 1,500 yards per lb. That should mean about 22-26 stitches on a 4 inch swatch... the fiber composition is 96% cashmere, 4% lurex.
