Gulshan Shawl made with 2/30 NM Extra fine merino

Monday 01 October 2012 1:20:19 pm

Gulshan is top-down triangle shaped knitted lace shawl. The yarn is held double throughout. Thanks to Colourmart team for winding the yarn that way and saving me time . The pattern is online at Ravelry now.
The yarn bloomed and is so soft after washing. I guess one can make two shawls with one cone of 2/30 nm EFM eventhough the yarn is held double.

1/6 NM fingering wt 5/95 cashmere/wool spaced dyed blues Vitamin D

Tuesday 31 July 2012 12:38:15 pm

I choose this variegated yarn for my Vitamin D.I was a little worried because it is a single yarn and the bias possibility, But No, it don´t bias at all and the cardigan is very nice, very lightweith and very sweet. I knitted directly from the cone and after washing it blooms. If you want to see more details, this is my Ravelry page http://www.ravelry.com/projects/maica/vitamin-d.
I am so happy with the yarn that I am thinkink to ask Sue/Richard for the same yarn in other colours

This is the corsage I made using extra fine merino in beige color. I used Debbie Bliss kid mohair silk yarn together for the flower to get different texture.
The matching belt and hat will be coming soon. I will keep updated.
Thank you!

Reversible Cable Muffler in 18/40NM heavy dk wt cash/silk navy

Monday 23 July 2012 8:08:48 am

Made using the Churchmouse Yarns and Teas pattern which I obtained free from an old newsletter. I kept the same number of stitches with the finer yarn to get a long scarf, but it would be easy to widen the muffler if you wanted. It used much less than one cone-- the whole cone would make a long, long scarf! Elegant and very soft to wear. The photo's colour is washed out, it is a lovely rich navy blue.

Baby ceremony dress

Wednesday 18 July 2012 2:07:55 pm

This is my first project using colormart yarn. It is extra fine merino DK in baby pink. I finished the set early this year but I was just too busy with my new born to upload pictures till now.
The yarn is very soft and easy to work with. After washing with hot water the dress became slightly larger.
Here is the link for more pictures.

Thank you!

I Want It Now Shawl

Tuesday 10 July 2012 4:31:56 am

I was using 8/60NM silk 4ply wt beige for my shawl.
I love it! This yarn looks beautiful, blocks just great! The shawl keeps shape really good. Lays beautifully on shoulders.
It was a little hard to see the beauty of this yarn in the very beginning of this project as it was all curled on the needles. After I got more rows on the needles and it gave a little weight it become much better.
I'm really happy with the result!!
