Pur cachemire, "lace weight tissage", 1/14 NM

Johnstons of Elgin produit ces fils à partir des meilleures fibres de Mongolie, spécialement pour le tissage. Les superbes tissus qui en résultent deviennent de plus en plus doux avec l'Òge et l'usage. C'est la raison pour laquelle les fils sont très denses. Comme ils sont composés d'un seul brin, ils ont un retordage déséquilibré qui peut poser des problèmes aux tricoteurs (il y a bien sûr des solutions !). Pour les tisserands, c'est un fil magnifique, qui change peu au lavage mais qui prend progressivement tout son gonflant à l'usage.
