シングルから撚り合わせた中細・合太・並太・極太
太さの均等な毛糸にするために紡績工場で撚り合わせてスチームでセットしてもらった毛糸です。元の毛糸はほとんどがジョンストン等のイギリスのトップクラスの紡績会社のものです。多くのシングル糸はもともと手織り用に生産されたもののため、撚りが強く入っています。そのため柔らかい毛糸２/７NMと比べると、洗った後もやや硬い感じがしますが、長持ちのする毛糸です。また使用とともに柔らかさとふくらみが加わります。編地もきれいにそろう毛糸です。
１/３．５NMは似た感触の毛糸ですが、イギリスのトップ工場で紡がれたシングル糸で、すばらしい縮れが入っています。シングル糸特有のよじれがあります。
１/４NMもシングル糸ですが、柔らかく紡がれているスラブ糸で、スチームセットされています。もともと厚手のマフラーを織るために生産された毛糸で、おもしろいテクスチュアがあり、このページの他の毛糸と比べるともっと柔らかい商品です。実際この毛糸は、工場で紡績されたにもかかわらずハンドスパン（手紡ぎ）或いはHS毛糸と呼ばれています。お客様の中には風合いのある作品が仕上がるとおっしゃる方もあれば、編みづらいとおっしゃる方もあります。
This is a pretty thick yarn, half way between our dk and aran weights... the 3 x 3 construction opens it out and makes it softer than the high twist singles would make it otherwise...

This yarn is twisted for us from 50s singles of 100% cashmere, woollen spun from shorter spun fibre which makes it a bit less soft, hence we have listed it with the ORDK yarns - lovely color though..
